A promotional ad for my hypothetical creative boutique. The target audience would be local business owners who generally create their own ads, but have decided to “seek professional help.” My own copy and design.
Three executions of a branding campaign for Lantic Sugar. This company has a great logo, but little brand presence. Most people have no idea what brand of sugar they buy, since Lantic and its main competitor have similar brand colour schemes. The use of the red dot and stark layout makes Lantic stand out as a specific brand.

Project ads created for Fibre1, directed at an audience of 18 to 24 year old males.
The executions that include photos are for print in Sports Illustrated and Maxim Magazine, while the other ad is a washroom poster to be placed in post-secondary institutions in major Canadian cities.
Our team will be presenting these and many more executions to Cosette in Toronto on Thursday.

A theoretical campaign for Zak’s Diner in the Ottawa Market. The idea is to remind an audience of 17 to 27 year olds that Zak’s is open 24 hours, and it’s an awesome spot in Ottawa to grab food.
The retro theme is unique, and it positions Zak’s as a fun place for young people.

A three-ad campaign for a flooring store created for the Hillock Bursary competition. Target audience of females who are married with children, and living in their first suburban home, or are empty-nesters who are renovating. The ads romanticize interior decorating, which is attractive to the target audience, who see the home as an important extension of themselves, and a vital aspect of their self-image. Pricing of products is fictional. Design and copy my own.

An ad I designed for Spring. The woman was created by using watercolour and line drawing, and was then scanned in and isolated in Photoshop. Layout was created in InDesign.

I’ll start out by introducing myself. My name is Erin, I’m a third-and-final-year Advertising student at Algonquin College. I design and I write.
I plan to use this blog as a space to post favourite design and copy work to build an online portfolio (and without paying web hosting fees!). I may also throw the occasional post on the page just because.
